Except for law enforcement officers (police, sheriffs, etc.) and armed DPI Security Officers, the Company prohibits all persons who enter Company property or premises or who attend any Company sponsored function or event from carrying firearms or other dangerous weapons of any kind, regardless of whether the person is licensed to carry the weapon.

Prohibited weapons include, without limitation: weapons or explosives that are restricted by local, state or federal law. (Legal, chemical dispensing devices such as pepper sprays that are sold commercially for personal protection are not covered by this policy).

If an employee has questions about this policy, they must contact their DPI Supervisor or the Human Resources department for clarification. Employees will be held responsible for making sure beforehand that any potentially covered item they possess is not prohibited by this policy.
